
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) recently announced an exciting expansion of its onboard entertainment with four new original productions debuting on nine ships by September 2025. These shows include “Red, White & British,” “Bring Back the 90s,” “ICONS: The Bands,” and “Ignite the Night,” each developed in collaboration with celebrated creative talent at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings’ Creative Studios in Tampa, Florida.
Engaging New Productions Set Sail
As part of NCL’s revitalized entertainment strategy, the cruise line aims to offer guests more captivating experiences than ever before. These innovative productions combine immersive storytelling, spectacular visuals, and timeless musical hits to deliver memorable performances exclusive to NCL guests.

Celebrating British Icons
“Red, White & British” brings audiences a dynamic tribute celebrating iconic British musicians whose influence reached American shores. The show, launching first on the Norwegian Breakaway on March 14, 2025, is produced in collaboration with Burn the Floor. Featuring stunning choreography, elaborate costumes, and dazzling multimedia, guests will enjoy tributes to legendary artists like David Bowie and Queen.
Directed by Jenn Rapp, celebrated for her work on Broadway hits such as “Jersey Boys” and popular TV shows like “America’s Got Talent,” this production also includes scenic design by acclaimed artist James Kronzer. The choreography is crafted by Burn the Floor’s creative powerhouses, Peta Roby and Jason Gilkison, ensuring an electrifying show from start to finish.
Relive the Best of the 90s
Nostalgia takes center stage in “Bring Back the 90s,” debuting aboard the Norwegian Getaway on March 2, 2025. Directed by Scott Weinstein, recognized for award-winning theatrical productions, the show captures the essence of the 90s era through music, fashion, and pop culture.
Audiences will sing along to beloved hits from Alanis Morissette, Salt-N-Pepa, and Destiny’s Child, with vibrant choreography led by James Alonso White, whose credits include iconic events like “Sesame Street” and the “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.” Nycole Altchiler, known for her dynamic work with Sabrina Carpenter’s “Short N’ Sweet” tour, contributes her talents, enhancing the show’s energetic atmosphere.
Notably, this show marks NCL’s first collaboration with DJ duo The Hood Internet, known for their unique mashups reimagining classic 90s songs. After debuting on Norwegian Getaway, the production will premiere aboard Norwegian Joy, sailing Alaska from Seattle starting July 7, 2025.
Honoring Legendary Bands and Glamourous Nights
“ICONS: The Bands” will debut aboard Norwegian Encore during its Panama Canal voyage on March 30, 2025. Directed by Stacy Walker, this thrilling show celebrates some of the greatest bands in music history with performances from a talented nine-person cast from the acclaimed Choir of Man. Guests aboard Norwegian Escape will enjoy this production starting May 25, 2025.
Meanwhile, the glamorous production “Ignite the Night” premieres on Norwegian Jewel, sailing the Caribbean from Tampa beginning March 2, 2025. Created by Britt Stewart from “Dancing with the Stars,” this dazzling spectacle combines dance, high fashion, and the excitement of an award-show atmosphere. Guests traveling on Norwegian Gem can also experience this show during Canada and New England sailings from Quebec City starting September 5, 2025.
More Entertainment Beyond the Main Stage
