Exciting details have been unveiled regarding the upgrades to Margaritaville at Sea’s exclusive ship, Margaritaville at Sea Paradise. To ensure an exceptional cruising experience, the vessel will undergo a comprehensive dry dock starting on May 21 and emerge completely revitalized and enhanced on June 2.
The upcoming upgrades encompass various aspects of the ship, introducing new dining venues with expanded menus, fresh entertainment and shows, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, and enhancements to the ship’s 658 staterooms.
Margaritaville at Sea Paradise is poised to receive an extensive transformation, rejuvenating its spaces with new themes, decor, and distinctive touches that will restore the 32-year-old ship to its former glory. This renovation is scheduled just one year after the ship’s maiden voyage for the boutique cruise line. The changes are driven not only by operational requirements and general maintenance but also by valuable feedback from guests, ensuring that their desires for an extraordinary cruise vacation are met.
Kevin Sheehan, Jr., the President and CEO of Margaritaville at Sea, stated, “We’ve carefully listened to the preferences and opinions of our friends and fans, and we have invested in the types of new offerings that passengers have indicated will greatly enhance their sailing experience.”
One of the anticipated upgrades includes the addition of a new Cheeseburger in Paradise Burger Bar, conveniently located adjacent to the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill on Deck 10 aft. This burger bar will serve customizable fresh beef burgers at no extra charge.
Further dining enhancements will be made to the ship’s main dining room, Fins, on Deck 8. Not only will the space undergo a refresh, but the menu will also be expanded to include delectable options such as island-inspired signature entrees and delectable made-from-scratch desserts, including the cruise line’s exclusive Key Lime Sponge Cake.
For those seeking a delightful evening, the brand new Keys on the Water Dueling Piano Bar will offer lively entertainment with nightly live music, accompanied by unique craft cocktails. The Hemisphere Nightclub will also introduce a new cocktail menu, complemented by a live DJ spinning the latest hits and beloved tunes.
The ship’s entertainment options will be further enhanced with the inclusion of two new immersive theater shows. The first show, “Caribbean Heat,” will take guests on a musical Caribbean journey infused with captivating dance and acrobatics. Meanwhile, “Radio Margaritaville: LIVE! At Sea” will feature live music performances from exceptional artists, combined with musical storytelling and other exciting elements.
In addition to the aforementioned enhancements, the ship’s multi-million dollar upgrade will also encompass new fitness options and refreshed youth programming, catering to all types of travelers. The Fins Up! Fitness Center on Deck 11 will be equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including Touch Smart Fitness Mirrors. Guests will have access to yoga classes, interactive bikes, and various other fitness amenities. On the deck, guests can enjoy the newly introduced Paradise Pickleball at Sea, featuring a regulation-size court and adjacent outdoor lounge space for spectators to cheer on their favorite players.
Younger cruisers will delight in the updated Fin City Arcade, which will showcase new games. The Jolly Mon Kid’s Club and Parakeets Kid’s Club will also undergo refreshing changes to provide an engaging and enjoyable experience for children.
These extensive upgrades to Margaritaville at Sea Paradise will undoubtedly breathe new life into the ship, offering a rejuvenated atmosphere that perfectly complements its laid-back, tropical ambiance. Sheehan expressed his excitement, stating, “The venues we’ve added and the enhancements we’ve made will elevate our guests’ experience to the next level, surprising and delighting both new and returning cruisers.”
Beyond the ship itself, the cruise line is also enhancing the experiences offered to guests during shore excursions. Once Margaritaville at Sea Paradise resumes service on June 2, new shore tours will be available, including a party boat and snorkeling option, as well as cycling adventures. Popular tours such as resort day passes, dolphin encounters, and the famous Bahamian swimming with the pigs experience are already available.
For those seeking an extended getaway, the cruise line will introduce a new Cruise & Stay option through a partnership with Pelican Bay Resort on Grand Bahama Island, in addition to the Grand Lucayan Bahamas and Wyndham Fortuna Beach resorts.
To celebrate the introduction of these exciting offerings onboard and ashore, Margaritaville at Sea is presenting a special “Sail-a-Bration” deal, featuring enticing buy one, get one free offers. Alternatively, guests can consider the cruise line’s unique “Ultimate Paradise Pass,” granting unlimited sailings throughout the year.
Moreover, the cruise line provides special rates for college students, solo travelers, and various types of “heroes,” including active and veteran military members, first responders, law enforcement officials, and educators.
