Carnival Cruise Line has recently announced its plan to relocate the Carnival Venezia from New York to Port Canaveral by the end of 2024, as stated in a press release.
Christine Duffy, the president of Carnival Cruise Line, expressed excitement about the new sailing opportunities, stating, “The sailings we are introducing today will allow us to extend our unique brand of fun to more guests and offer an exciting experience from one of our most popular homeports. Carnival Venezia’s seasonal operation in Port Canaveral will bring the total number of our vessels deployed there to five, providing our esteemed Carnival guests with another fantastic option when embarking from Central Florida.”
The repositioning of the Carnival Venezia will commence with a 12-day Southern Caribbean Carnival Journeys voyage on December 6, 2024. This journey will include stops at St. Thomas, Aruba, Curacao, and Grand Turk, concluding in Port Canaveral on December 18, 2024.
Subsequently, on the same day, the ship will embark on a four-day Bahamas cruise from Port Canaveral, making visits to Nassau and Freeport. Following this, the Carnival Venezia will offer 15 seven-day cruises and two 14-day Carnival Journeys voyages. Eventually, the ship will return to New York in the spring of 2025.
The Carnival Venezia will present several enticing sailings from Port Canaveral, which are currently available for booking:
- A seven-day Exotic Eastern Caribbean cruise departing on December 22, 2024, with stops at Grand Turk, San Juan in Puerto Rico, and St. Thomas.
- A seven-day Exotic Eastern Caribbean voyage departing on January 5, 2025, featuring visits to Amber Cove, San Juan in Puerto Rico, and St. Thomas.
- A seven-day Exotic Western Caribbean cruise departing on December 29, 2024, January 26, 2025, and March 23, 2025, encompassing Mahogany Bay in Isla Roatan, Belize, and Cozumel in Mexico.
- A seven-day Western Caribbean itinerary departing on February 9, 2025, and March 9, 2025, with stops at Nassau in the Bahamas, Montego Bay in Jamaica, and Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands.
- A seven-day Western Caribbean journey departing on April 6, 2025, and April 20, 2025, visiting Nassau in the Bahamas, Ocho Rios in Jamaica, and Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands.
Moreover, two 14-day Caribbean cruises will depart on January 12, 2025, and February 23, 2025.
Prior to these voyages, the Carnival Venezia will embark on its 15-day Carnival Journeys transatlantic sailing from Barcelona on May 29, 2023.
Lastly, mark your calendars for the ship’s inaugural cruise from New York to Bermuda, scheduled for June 15, 2023.
